More relevant now than ever, Boost brings back its e-Duit Raya feature with exciting offers to reignite the spark and spirit of this year’s Raya festivities

Kuala Lumpur, 11 May 2021 – Homegrown e-wallet Boost is injecting a little Raya spirit and tradition back into our now normal festivities by re-enabling the e-Duit Raya feature. Through its Raya campaign, ‘Raya dengan Tenang, Di Rumah kan Senang’, there are also exciting rewards to help Malaysians be Raya-ready despite the ongoing Movement Control Order (MCO).

More relevant now than ever, for a month starting 10 May, Boost users will be able to send and receive e-duit raya from family and friends. Accessible directly from the app’s homepage and on the Raya feature page, users can choose from six colourful ‘sampul Raya’ designs and include a personalised Raya wish for the recipient.

Users can opt to send a fixed amount of e-Duit Raya to one recipient or any amount for up to 10 recipients at once. Boost is also adding a fun twist to its e-Duit Raya experience with a fun randomiser feature to enjoy with the family. The randomiser will take a total amount you wish to send to multiple recipients, and randomly select the amount each recipient receives.

Boost is also extending an option to either keep or donate the e-Duit Raya received to the underprivileged. Users can choose from an extensive list of NGOs, charitable organisations and religious institutions around Malaysia to give back as well as provide a helping hand to those in-need.

Mohd Khairil Abdullah, CEO of Boost said, “Malaysians have admirably embraced e-wallets as part of our daily lives now. Despite the continued restrictions on travel and Raya festivities, we hope that our e-Duit Raya feature and Raya campaign offers will reignite the Raya spark. As we continue to stride forward with tenacity, Boost is committed to continue introducing meaningful and innovative features and solutions. This is to help drive a vibrant and collaborative digital ecosystem that is beneficial to all Malaysians in adjusting to the now normal, while continuing to stay safe.”

For Boost’s e-Duit Raya feature, only Premium Wallet users will be able to send money while Basic Wallet users can only receive e-Duit Raya.

Boost encourages users to upgrade their wallets to a Premium Wallet, if they haven’t already, for free in two easy steps to fully enjoy the benefits and rewards it offers:

  1. Verify your details by taking a picture of your IC and a quick video selfie.
  2. Add money to your Boost Wallet with a minimum amount of RM10 at least once.
