Who can become a Boost merchant?
As long as you’re running a business or a side hustle as an individual or a registered company, you can register as a Boost merchant. The Boost Biz app is also applicable to NGOs, educational institutions and associations that want to be part of the Boost merchant family.
Where and how can you apply to be a Boost merchant?
There are two very simple methods you can follow to apply and become a Boost merchant.
We have a Boost Biz online self-registration portal (https://bit.ly/merchsignup) you can go to. Once at the website, follow these simple steps:
- Fill in your preferred Trading Name and personal details such as full name, email and mobile number.
- Click on the ‘Request OTP’ button to get an OTP code sent to your mobile number and fill in the OTP code.
- After which, you will have to create a password for your Boost Biz account and click ‘Next’.
- Choose which type of merchant you are
- Fill up and submit the necessary details and documents
- Once you’ve submitted the registration, a Boost Biz representative will reach out to you within 3 working days for verification.
- Through the Boost app
If you are an existing Boost user and want to be a merchant, you can register directly on the Boost app.
Go to your ‘Profile’ page and tap on ‘Sign Up As A Boost Merchant’. You will be directed to a merchant registration page and follow the same steps listed above.
What supporting document(s) do you need?
For individuals, you would just need your Identity Card (IC) and the latest active personal bank account . As individuals, you need to be a Malaysian or a Permanent Resident (PR) in Malaysia to be eligible to become a Boost merchant.
Make sure you have these documents handy at the time of filling up the registration form for a smooth process.
