“The Penang state government recognizes the need for the state to undergo digital transformation to progress and develop economically and socially. Thus, as part of the Penang2030 vision, MBSP has been leading the way in making the cashless society aspiration a reality by pioneering cashless parking, then public markets and hawker stalls. Today, we are taking another first step to digitize the bill payments aspect of the city by partnering with Boost as a cashless payment,” said YBhg. Dato’ Sr Hj Rozali B. As an enhanced feature to add value to the convenience of paying with Boost, users can set a payment reminder for bills. This way, users can avoid missing routine bill payments. Users can also save their favourite billers for easy access which saves a lot of time from having to input account details before every payment made.
“Boost is proud to contribute towards the Penang state government’s goal to become a cashless society by 2030. Our partnership with MBSP aims to give convenience towards the people of Seberang Perai by enabling an accessible option for them to continue embracing a cashless and contactless lifestyle with e-wallets. This is in addition to providing a clean and safe way to perform transactions on a daily basis, especially in light of the pandemic,” said Ungku Norliza Ungku Halmie, Director of Product & Marketing, Boost.
Boost has also recently expanded the portfolio of its bill payments feature to include a wider range of telco postpaid options as well as new billers for electricity and water.
