1. Miker Padang Ipoh

A hipster looking café located at Padang Ipoh, Miker is famous for its tom yum dalam kelapa and delicious pizzas such as Crazy Meat, Crazy Cheese and Ultimate Kampung which is topped with cili padi and ikan bilis. Western options especially the lamb chop and grilled chicken cheese are said to be favoured by many.

2. Char Kuey Teow Abang Sayang
   What you get here is no ordinary Char Kuey Teow. The stir fry noodle dish is served in a special and generous amount of gravy “Abang Sayang” style. Once you have experienced this, there is no going back to your regular char kuey teow. They also offer other varieties of food such as Nasi Ayam, Mee Hoon Soup and Satay.

3. Restoran Warteg Ipoh
   Located at one of the oldest buildings in Ipoh, this modern warung offers foodies a wide selection of food inspired with Javanese flavours. Their go to dish is the noteworthy King Crab or Lobster cooked Javanese style ala shellout. On top of other fresh seafood, you can also order Nasi Uduk and their very own version of ‘kacang pol’.

4. Restoran Nasi Vanggey
   Nasi Vanggey has been a food icon in Ipoh since 1955. Served with white rice and the star of the show – the juicy fried chicken along with tantalizing side dishes of your choice topped with their mouth-watering signature gravy – this is comfort food at it’s best. While outlets have opened in KL, we’d still recommend trying it at Ipoh, its hometown.

5. Canning Dim Sum

6. Labu Sayong Café

7. Assam House

8. Rojak dan Cendol Padang Ipoh

9. Zul Yahya Steamboat

10. Restoran Fuziah
    Let’s not forget this very popular dish in Ipoh – Nasi Ayam. Restoran Fuziah Nasi Ayam or better known as Nasi Ayam Pasar Bulat has been a favourite among locals since 1980. Their fragrant chicken oil cooked rice and perfectly roasted chicken with crispy skin paired with a  drizzle of mildly sweet soy sauce emis a winner in every local’s heart.
