Ejen Ali & Boost Recruit ‘10 Budak Merah’ On A Mission To Raise The Raya Spirit


Boost collaborates with Ejen Ali to premiere a festive Raya video as part of its KebangkiTEN Raya campaign

PETALING JAYA, 22 April 2022 – After two long years of sombre Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the recent announcement from the government to transition into endemic status has sparked renewed hope to celebrate the upcoming festival like we used to in the good old days. In this spirit, Ejen Ali and Boost, the fintech arm of Axiata, today announced their collaboration to premiere a festive Raya video dubbed “KebangkiTEN Raya 10 Budak Merah dan Ejen Ali”.


The “KebangkiTEN Raya 10 Budak Merah dan Ejen Ali” tale is part of Boost’s KebangkiTEN Raya” campaign which runs from 18 April to 31 May and is anchored by a heart-warming tale about Abu and his nine best friends all dressed in red as they strive to bring back the festive spirit of Hari Rayas gone by with their animated antics. While being cheered on by Ejen Ali, the ten kids go on various missions to prepare traditional Raya dishes, get the best deals on baju raya and decorate the home with the convenience and great deals afforded by using the Boost app. Right at the end of their adventure, Abu experiences an unexpected action-packed twist featuring Ejen Ali.

The collaboration between Ejen Ali and Boost leads up to the release of Ejen Ali Season 3, coming soon to Disney+ Hotstar in 2022. The new season follows the titular character and the young Ejens from MATA Academy as they are reunited for a secret Ejen competition, the MATA Arena. Joined by several recruits from MATA’s international division, the event turns sideways when someone in the ranks secretly formulates a ploy to disrupt MATA in order to gain control over Cyberaya. Meanwhile, Rizwan grows wary of the threat  posed by the villainous Numeros returning to exact revenge after the loss of their leader, Uno. Ejen Ali Season 3  will explore how Ali strives to pursue his late mother’s path to become the best MATA Ejen but struggles to cope without IRIS, as well as Rizwan’s gradual discovery of a looming threat to Cyberaya.
