The Go-eCommerce Onboarding Campaign is a BELANJAWAN 2021 initiative under the Ministry of Finance (MOF), in collaboration with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). This programme aims to provide support to Malaysian Micro & SME merchants to onboard onto e-Commerce and/or e-Payment platforms to build resilience and business sustainability by reaching a new group of customers and increasing sales.

General FAQ

The Go-eCommerce Onboarding Campaign is an initiative by the Ministry of Finance (MoF) in collaboration with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) under BELANJAWAN 2021 to encourage adoption of e-commerce and e-payment by local businesses. The focus is to help Micro & Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) (collectively, referred to as “MSMEs”) to widen their market reach via e-commerce and/or e-payment to regenerate their income.

If you are a Malaysian independent micro and, small, medium enterprise (MSMEs*), and not a charitable organization, non-governmental organizations, religious bodies or merchant who is not MSME, you are eligible to participate in this Campaign by onboarding as e-Commerce Merchants or e-Payment Merchants.

*The definition of MSMEs is according to SME’s Corp definition here https://www.smecorp.gov.my/index.php/en/policies/2020-02-11-08-01-24/sme-definition, and it includes Malaysia individuals with or without business registration.

It depends on the type of solution you have selected to be onboarded under the Go-eCommerce Onboarding Campaign, i.e. e-Commerce Merchants or e-Payment Merchants:

  1. For e-Commerce Merchants:
    • By signing-up and once successfully onboarded as e-Commerce Merchants, eligible e-Commerce Merchants will be able to receive:
      1. Up to RM500 cash incentivesb for the “Go-eCommerce Onboarding Campaign” whereby for every transaction of a min. spend of RM20; merchant is entitled to get up to RM1 incentive per transaction subject to the relevant terms and conditions.
      2. Advertising and promotional support during the Campaign periodc.
      3. 0% MDR rate throughout the Go-eCommerce Onboarding Campaign Period (i.e. 1 July 2021 – 31 December 2021 or such period as may be varied by us).
      4. Cashback for Boost users via the Go-eCommerce Partner Wallet User Campaignb.
    • Benefits 1 and 4 are applicable for eligible e-Commerce Merchants are on a first come, first served basis; and participating in the cash incentive campaign is limited to the first 29,200 e-Commerce Merchants only.
    • Benefit 2 is applicable for eligible e-Commerce Merchants on a first come, first served basis; and is limited to 19,800 merchants only.
  2. For e-Payment Merchants
    • By successfully onboarded as e-Payment Merchants, eligible e-Payment Merchants will be able to receive:
      1. 0% MDR rate throughout the Go-eCommerce Onboarding Campaign Period (i.e. 1 July 2021 – 31 December 2021 or such period as may be varied by us).
      2. Cashback for Boost users via the Go-eCommerce Partner Wallet User Campaign.

There is no sign-up or onboarding fees for merchants who register for this program. This program is FREE for eligible Merchants as specified in the Go-eCommerce Onboarding Campaign Terms & Conditions.

Our Boost representative will contact you within five (5) working days to make an appointment to assist you.

Merchant onboarding to the Go-eCommerce Onboarding Campaign will begin on 1st July 2021 – 31st December 2021 or such period as may be varied by us (Go-eCommerce Onboarding Period). But the user cashback campaign and merchant incentive campaign will run from 12th July 2021 – 31st December 2021 or such period as may be varied by us.

Merchant Incentive Campaign FAQ

If a Boost user makes a minimum transaction of RM20 in a single receipt via Boost by scanning Boost QR, Boost DuitNow QR or Business Payment Link; the eligible e-Commerce merchant will receive RM1 cash incentive per transaction.

Eligible e-Commerce merchants will be able to receive up to RM100 cash incentive per month and a maximum of RM500 cash incentive throughout campaign period. This cash incentive is on a first come, first serve basis and limited to 29,200 eligible e-Commerce merchants only and limited to RM400,000 only throughout the campaign period, or until the cash incentive budget is fully utilized; whichever comes first.

Only eligible e-Commerce merchants (please click here for more details on eligibility criteria as set out in the Merchant Incentive Terms and Conditions) will receive the relevant cash incentives, and these cash incentives will be credited into the aforementioned eligible merchant’s registered bank account with us within 60 working days after the end of each month.

The total cash incentive to be given out under the campaign is on a first come first served basis and capped at RM400,000 throughout the campaign period and will cease if the limit is met or the campaign period ends, whichever comes first. The amount of cash incentive to be given out under the campaign to the eligible merchants is:

(i)   limited to a maximum of RM100 per eligible merchant per month and a total of RM500 per eligible merchant for the entire Campaign Period; and

(ii)  dependent on the number of transactions made by Boost users at their stores listed on Boost Marketplace and the payment for their said transactions must also be made via Boost QR, Boost DuitNow QR or Business Payment Link.

To be eligible for the Grand Lucky Draw, the eligible e-Commerce merchants are required to have a minimum of thirty (30) transactions for payments made via scanning the Boost QR or Boost DuitNow QR via the Boost App or Business Payment Link or a minimum total sale of RM500 for payments made via scanning the Boost QR or Boost DuitNow QR via the Boost App or Business Payment Link. The eligible e-Commerce merchants will receive one (1) entry when Boost users spend a minimum of RM20 per transaction by scanning the Boost QR or Boost DuitNow QR via the Boost App or Business Payment Link. The more entries received, the higher chances of winning.

The entry for the Grand Lucky Draw closes at the end of Campaign Period at 11:59pm.

Ten (10) eligible e-Commerce merchants who are selected at random as winners of this Grand Lucky Draw, will be entitled to receive RM10,000 cash prize, each.

The selected winners of the Grand Lucky Draw will be notified via authorized Boost Business email if they have won within a week after the Campaign Period ends. Kindly take note that Boost will never call or SMS the winners requesting for personal data; so please be vigilant of scammers and do not give out your personal information if you are unable to verify the source.

Once you have been selected and notified as the winner, you will be given seven (7) working days to acknowledge the notification; and after having done so – your cash prize of RM10,000 will be credited into your bank account registered with Boost within ninety (90) working days after Boost receiving the acknowledgement.
